Ajax Voice Search
This is a Amazing Joomla extension that enables users to search Joomla content and articles using voice commands. The extension package includes both a plugin and a module, which are installed together for seamless integration.
After installation, simply enable the plugin and publish the module in your desired position. The plugin allows you to define which components should be included in the search, while the module provides various styling options and search configurations.
In addition to voice search functionality, the module also supports AJAX-based text search, which can be enabled from the module settings. Search results can be displayed using two different layouts:
- On-the-Fly Layout – Displays results dynamically as the user interacts.
- General Layout – Shows results in a more traditional format.
Please ensure that your device has an active internet connection and that your website is running over HTTPS, as these are required for voice search functionality.

What Joomla versions does it support?
It supports Joomla 3x, J4x, J5x including latest Joomla. It does not support Joomla 2.5
How can I configure the extension?
At first Install the package. It will install a plugin and a module. Now first enable the plugin and then publish the module. The search field will displayed by the module.
How Voice Search Works?
Click on Microphone Button, and say something. It will record your voice and search instantly.
Why my voice is not recording? or Recording does not work?
Make sure you are online and your site domain has https://. Secondly for the first time recording you browser might not allow recording. So It will send you notification to allow recording. By default it may block recording. So you can allow it. Once it is allowed, and when you click on microphone button a red color dot(.) will be blicking at your browser tab. So you are good to go.
Which browsers does it support?
Well, the extension uses Speech Recognition API. Currently this API is not supported by all Browsers. Currently It supports – Chrome, Safari, Samsung Internet, QQ Browser, Badu and Firefox-Latest verisons(for Firefox not supported by default, but can be enabled).
